Girl 6

Warner Bros. Records, 1996

The soundtrack for the Spike Lee film Girl 6 was curated by Prince, and featured hits from throughout Prince's early career in addition to three previously unreleased songs — "She Spoke 2 Me," "Don't Talk 2 Strangers," and the title track, "Girl 6," which was credited to the New Power Generation.

The songs on Girl 6 were primarily written and recorded before Prince changed his name to an unpronouncable symbol, and so the soundtrack was credited to Prince despite being released in the d era. In addition to material by Prince and the NPG, Girl 6 also featured songs from two Prince-produced projects, Vanity 6 and the Family.
